Day 01 : Airport - Ayurveda center - Maho

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and met by "Sri Lanka for Holidays" Representatives and transfer to Ayurveda Resort Yapahuwa - Maho. At leisure in Ayurveda resort. Dinner and overnight stay in Ayurveda Resort Yapahuwa.

Day 02 : Yapahuwa

Enjoy a free Ayurveda wellness treatment package free of charge.

Dinner and overnight stay in Ayurveda Resort Yapahuwa.

Day 03 : Yapahuwa

Travel to visit Reswehera (Sesseruwa) temple and see the famous ancient Budhha statue. And in afternoon, climb the Yapahuwa rock fortress.


12 meter high inferior Buddha statue in an ancient temple.


This rock fortress rising 100m from a plain is similar concept to Sigiriya. Also known as "fire rock", was built in the early 13th century as a fortress against the Indian armies.

Day 04 : Polonnaruwa / Minneriya National Park

Breakfast at Hotel.

Then travel to Polonnaruwa & visit wood carving people. Visit Polonnaruwa city.


2nd Capital of Sri Lanka, City Tour including visits to the Gal Vihara with its majestic rock statues of the Buddha in standing, reclining and seated forms, the Thuparamaya, the princes' pond, Lankathilaka Viharaya and the relic houses of Watadageya, Hatadageya and the Atadageya.

Travel to Minneriya & have a jeep safari at Minneriya national wildlife park.


Located 182 kilometers from the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo, Minneriya National Park is an ideal eco tourism spot in the country. Spread over 8890 hectares, it was designated a biosphere reserve in the late 1970's. The wetland habitat of Minneriya National Park in Sri Lanka is inhabited by a large number of mammals such as elephants and sambars, leopards, sloth bears and the purple faced leaf monkey. In addition to the various species of mammals, the Minneriya National Park is also home to rare aquatic bird species such as the little cormorant. In addition to them, the painted strokes, Great white pelicans, Ruddy turnstones and Grey herons can also been spotted at the reserve. Early morning and late evening are perfect timings to spot these migratory birds. Beside the flora and the fauna, one of the main features of the park is the ancient Minneriya Tank. Built in 3rd century AD by King Mahasena, the tank helps in the irrigation of over 8500 hectares of paddy lands.

Day 05 : Sigiriya

Breakfast at Hotel.

Climb the Sigiriya rock fortress.


Sigiriya the rock fortress of an v centaury A.D. is fortress pronounced the Eight wonder of the world. This citadel in the sky is a world heritage site, a great attraction. It's gardens and terraces laid with water gardens fountains, Boulder Gardens cave Dwellings, Magnificent fresco paintings of the world famous Ladies of Sigiriya, The Mirror wall, The "Gigantic Lions" paws, The ruins of the palace and royal bath certainly tell us of the aesthetic sense of the king who exploited the skills of his peoples' and labor to achieve his Dream.

Visit a school, where poor local students doing their studies. (if you have small presents like pens, note books; you can offer them)

In afternoon elephant back safaries or horse riding can be arranged by request. And visit a traditional art center and see how local people make their cloths colorful.

Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 06 : Sigiriya / A Monastery / Kandy

Travel to visit a forest monastery, where around 80 local & foreign Buddhist monks meditate in the forest. See how local people offer alms (food) for them and have a walk inside the monastery.

Travel to Kandy.

En route visit Dambulla Cave Temple & a spice garden.


Which contains more than 150 Statues of the Buddha. This was where a king of the 1st Century B.C. took refuge and latter converted them into a monastery.


Visit a spice garden at matale which grows spices and herbs used for Sri Lankan cuisine and medication. Spices of Sri Lanka attracted the early sea faring merchants who made the long voyages to purchase this precious merchandise.

In evening enjoy a typical Sri Lankan Cultural Show of Drumming, Dancing, music and fire walking.

Day 07 : Kandy

Breakfast at Hotel.

Visit Gem Bureau where you will be shown a documentary film on how Sri Lankan Gem mining is traditionally done.

Then visit temple of tooth relic.


Visit the Temple of the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha. This temple, the most important one for The Sri Lankan Buddhists was built in the 16th Century A.D. solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic. Observe the magnificent Architecture of that period and experience the tranquility of the atmosphere.

After lunch visit peradeniya botanical garden.


En-route visit the Botanical Garden Peradeniya, which was a pleasure garden of a Kandyan King of the 16th Century and later made in to a Botanical Garden during the British regime. This garden, one of the best in Asia is a place of beauty and site for bird watchers.

Day 08 : Kandy / Pinnawala

Breakfast at Hotel.

Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.


The foster - home of elephants of different age and size feed, bathe, play together and even mate. These great animals have been found injured or left abandoned in the wilderness. Now they even breed in captivity. Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel in Kandy.

Day 09 : Kandy / Nuwara Eliya

After Breakfast leave for nuwaraeliya. Nuwara Eliya, the misty city is located over 6000 feet above sea level. On the way visit Tea plantations & Tea factories. Also you will see a beautiful "Ramboda" waterfall.


Visit a Tea Plantation and a Tea Factory. Sri Lanka being famous for its "Ceylon Tea" has added cheer to many the world over for more than a century.

Arrive in Nuwara Eliya to be greeted by the fresh wintry atmosphere, the cottage type bungalows and the colonial air. ( Nuwara Eliya is also known as "Little England")


Drive through the little town of Nuwara Eliya observing the well-maintained buildings of colonial Architecture. Visit the busy market where the tea plantation workers rush in and out with their days provisions. Visit the lake Gregory built for generating power during the British Colonial age but now a feature that adds beauty to the city.

Day 10 : Nuwara Eliya / Horton Plains / Nuwara Eliya

Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Horton Plains (Worlds End.)


Horton Plains situated 7200 feet above sea level covers an area of 7000 acres. Cool water springs which are the starting points of many rivers are found here. This plains formally called the Mahaweli Plains was renamed after the second British Governor of Sri Lanka who was Robert Wilmot Horton. One of the greatest Nature walk could be done at Horton Plains. Walking through rhododendron Giant fern and occasionally crossing a brook you arrive at Bakers Fall which is named after Thomas William Baker the pioneer of farming. You will also view the Breath Taking sight of worlds end which is a steep precipice, A sight to behold.

Day 11 : Nuwara Eliya / Ella / Tissa

Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Tissa.

En route visit famous Ella gap. Enjoy the most beautiful sceneries in the Sri Lanka highlands. Have a tea from famous "ella motel". Visit & participate for a daily pooja (offerings) to God "kataragama" at kataragama. Then travel to Tissa and dinner & overnight at a hotel in Tissa.

Day 12 : Tissa / Galle

En route Visit Dutch Fortress.


An ancient city which is now a modern and buzzing town today. It was the most important sea port way back in history, where the sea faring merchants arrived to trade and barter. This is also where the Portuguese first set foot in the year 1505 and built a fortress, Which was later captured and fortified by the Dutch. The fortress is one of the best preserved in the island. A visit to the fortress and to watch the sunset from the rampart is an experience unforgettable. The oldest Protestant church in the country called the 'Groote Kirk' built by the Dutch is located inside the Fort. It is situated close to New Oriental Hotel also built by them as the Governor's Residence in 1684

Visit the Turtle Hatchery.


Projects have been launched to conserve the population of turtles that are reaching extinction and such projects are found along the southern coast of Sri Lanka where turtles come as hop to lay their eggs. The turtle digs a hole on the Beach, Lais hers eggs and covers it with sand where it is suppose, incubate by the heat of the sun. What often happens is the eggs are dug out by fisherman and sold to people who consume them. But now the eggs are bought up by the conservation projects and hatched the Natural way in enclosed areas and the Birds don't have a chance of picking them up. This offers them a better chance of survival.

Day 13 / 14 : Galle


Beach Stay with many choices of spending your time. Leisurely strolling on the Golden Beaches enthralled in the magical atmosphere. Lazing on a Sun deck reading a book of you choice, and sipping a cool fresh tropical fruit drink of pine apple, Mango, Banana. Water skiing, Wind Surfing, Snorkeling or cutting through the choppy on a jet water scooter and much more....

Day 15 : Beach / Air Port

Breakfast at Hotel. Leave Air port for Departure.
